CHILD TEA PARTY IDEAS
Young people together, boys & girls, enjoy dressing up and responsibly using china and special linens.
Tea is a way of building self-esteem and confidence. It may be a good time, however, to remind them of the
manners & courtesies that were taught by parents, and the enjoyment of using these courtesies with each other.
All young ladies love to wear hats and/or gloves (remind them to remove before shaking hands, eating of drinking).
Another great idea is have on hand dress-up hats, boas, gloves, jewelry and anything else you think the tea parties may enjoy!
Share a book by reading the Emma Lea tea books, they are wonderful special stories!
Encourage the children to bring someone special with them, as their guest. Either a real person, or a stuffed bear or doll.
Make sure these special guests can be accommodated with special seating where they can participate in or closely view the proceedings.
Keep the menu simple, in addition to one special tea, offer juice, cocoa, or some other popular beverage and always serve in real teacups.
Tea sandwiches can consist of peanut butter, cheese, any popular sandwich, cut into fun shapes with crusts removed.
Sweets served should be cookies, fruit – easy to pick up snacks. Try to avoid messy cakes and crumbs!
Remember to use china & cloth napkins for a special day!
