Decaffeinated Tea
These teas are decaffeinated Black and Green teas. Keep in mind the Red teas, Rooibos & Honeybush naturally have no caffeine and the Herbal Tisanes are full of flavor and also naturally caffeine free. Much of the caffeine, approximate 85%, can be removed from regular tea by steeping the tea for 30 seconds, pouring the tea off the leaves or tea bag, replacing with fresh water and brewing as usual. About Iced Tea
A number of our teas create flavorful iced teas. Our Black teas, Formosan Keemun & Assam are exceptional iced, as are the blended Passion Fruit, Black Currant & Spiced Raspberry teas. Several of our fruit flavored herbal tisanes also make very good iced teas. Some love the Darjeeling Green iced, it does not have the grassy, vegetal flavor that characterizes most green teas.
Approximately 1/4 cup per gallon of water makes a strong pot of iced tea. Play around with this, use more or less to suit your taste. Brew if as making hot tea and cool slowly. Pouring over ice when really hot contributes to cloudiness.
